ANOTHER HALF YEAR MARK

Today marks another half a year with my babe, Davis. One and half years have flown by faster than I thought it possibly could. It feels just like yesterday we were starting to get to know each other. I am so grateful that I have Davis in my life. He has helped make me a better person. There isn't a day that goes by that Davis fails to tell me how much he loves and cares about me. He is always making me smile and laugh. He makes me feel special. He is truly AMAZING!

I am so excited to see what the next six months will bring for Davis and I.

Davis, I love you. You are an amazing man. I am so so SO lucky I get to call you mine. You make me so happy. Thank you for everything you do for me. Thank you for treating me like a princess, even when I don't deserve it. Thank you for your honestly and love. Mostly importantly, thank you for being you!! You are one the greatest, kindest, most caring, and loyal individuals I've ever met.

GOOD TIMES, GOOD COMPANY

I love spending time with quality people and having a good time. With Bubba and Rhylee, it's always a good time. I was introduced to B & R about a year and a half ago by Davis and I am so grateful! Bubba and Rhylee are two amazing people and I'm so lucky that they are my friends.

Here's to good friends and good times with them.
I love everyone in these pictures!

SELFIE SATURDAY

Anytime is a good time for a selfie. I am right or am I right?

THANKSGIVING

Yesterday was Thanksgiving! I am happy to announce that for breakfast, lunch, and dinner I had a Thanksgiving meal. It was such an amazing day. I was lucky enough to spend it at the Johnson Mill with Davis' family! I never have a bad time when I am with D' family. They are some of the greatest people I know. We ate an amazing dinner prepared by many, but mostly by D's wonderful Grandma Johnson. For dessert we had homemade pumpkin pie. The day couldn't have gone any better!

I was going to make a list of some of the things I am grateful for, but the list is just too long. I am grateful for so much. I feel so blessed. I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and ate all the food you could until you possibly couldn't any more.

The funniest part about this picture is the fact that Davis had no idea that Tadd was doing this

MEETING THOMAS

Yesterday I met my nephew Thomas for the first time.
He is such a stud and I love him so much!
I am so grateful for family!

CALL ME NANNY

These two cuties are named Presli and Graham. They are my second cousins. I am so excited and lucky because I am get watch this kiddos every Tuesday while their Mommy runs errands. They are the cutest kids and I am already loving spending time with them.

Here's to a new adventure!
Presli took my phone and later that day I found these cute pictures on there, along with many MANY others.

SMOKING APPLE

On Saturday Davis and I went to lunch at Smoking Apple in Lindon. If you haven't been there, I recommend you go ASAP. The food is soooo yummy. My favorite thing to get is the pulled pork sandwich, sweet potato fries, and corn.
{fun fact about US}
About a year and a half ago, Davis took me to Smoking Apple for our first real date :)

ELDER THOMSON

On Tuesday I said goodbye to my dear friend Jake. He will be serving an LDS mission in Monterrey, Mexico for the next two years. Jake has always been an amazing friend to me. He is one of the very few that I still talk to from high school, so it's sad to see him leave.

Jake took me to a dance our Senior year. It was one of the most fun dances I went to. Jake was an amazing date. It meant the world to me that he asked me because I was only asked to TWO boys choice dances through out all of high school. He knew that, and made sure to show me a great time.

I am so happy that I have a friend like Jake. I am proud of him!

WINTER BLUES

I've caught myself a case of the winter blues. The mountains are covered in snow and soon all of the valley will be as well. Winter is not my favorite season, it's actually my least favorite. Even though the white stuff is beautiful, I would rather be at a beach.

There are a lot of things I dislike about winter:
+ driving in the snow.
+ being cold
+ wearing winter coats
+ my winter wardrobe
just to name a few.

Winter is the worst and all you winter lovers are crazy.

On a positive note. I do love some things about this time of year and that list can be found {here}.
Maybe one day I'll learn to love the snow, but I don't think that will be happening anytime soon.
It's not even snowing here yet and I'm already ready for it to be spring time. This is gonna be a long winter...

we took a little walk around the golf course today. trying to stay positive about this cold.

SHAMELESS FRIDAY NIGHT MIRROR SELFIES

shirt: Pac Sun + headband: Cotton On
Sometimes a mirror selfie is just necessary...
But sometimes three mirror selfies are necessary!

Happy Friday folks.

FALL MORNING

This morning I went on a nice little run. It wasn't too cold and the crisp fall air felt nice to run in. I hadn't been running in a while and it pretty much kicked my ass. I hate running, but getting outside this morning made me feel great! Even though it was hard, it's something I have to do to stay healthily. Only positive things can come from running. I need to get my butt back into gear!
Here are some random pictures I took along the way. It was just too beautiful this morning to not take pictures!
Always rocking' them beats!
On a different note, this is my nephew Thomas. Yesterday he turned one month old. I haven't had the chance to meet this little slice of heaven yet, but I love him so much already! Isn't he the cutest?? My other step sister is in the hospital right now having her baby! Two new grand babies for my mom in Jeff in just one month. This little family is sure growing fast!

IT'S THE SMALL THINGS

Nothing to blog about today other than the fact that I love this picture of D and I above. It was a just a Snapchat to a friend and ended up being one of my favorite pictures.

Oh and another thing, I love the boy in that picture has well. He is also in the picture below, even though he may be a little hard to find. He's the cutest boy ever. Seriously, he's always making me smile.  I love him dearly.

NOVEMBER ALREADY?

Can you believe that it's November first already? This year has flown by faster than ever. It feels like last holiday season was just a few weeks ago and here we are already preparing for another Thanksgiving feast this month and Christmas the next. As the months fly by so do the seasons. Summer turned to Fall and Fall is quickly turning into my least favorite of the four seasons, Winter... They say Utah has some of the greatest snow on earth, but I would be perfectly fine if it never snowed, ever. I was born and raised here in Utah and I still hate the snow. You would think that after eighteen years of having to deal with snow storms and ice covered roads I would learn to like it, but that hasn't happened yet.

Even though I hate the winter, I love all that it brings. The holiday season is my favorite time of the year for many reasons.
+ Christmas
+ Thanksgiving
+ Boots
+ Scarfs
+ Gloves
+ Dates to Temple Square
+ Hot Chocolate
+ Endless Cuddles
+ Yummy Food
+ Christmas Lights
+ Spending time with mine and Davis' families
+ Christmas Songs
+ Pumpkin Pie
+ The Smell of Pine Trees
+++++ The list could go on and on and on.

I am grateful that I get to celebrate the holidays! The snow can take it sweet time getting here, but Christmas and Thanksgiving; they couldn't come fast enough.

For the next couple of months you'll probably find me bundled up in scarfs, comfy sweats, and fuzzy socks 98% of the time.

I hope everyone had a wonderful November first. It's time to start getting ready for the holidays!
Next stop, Turkey Day. GOBBLE GOBBLE!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Baseball Girl Erika, Lumberjack Davis, and photobomber Max in the window :)
Last year Davis and I carved pumpkins on Halloween night and this year we did the same. We had a little bit of a hard time finding pumpkins, but we managed to find some at the Pumpkin Patch for only $1. Even though our pumpkins were only on display for one night, it was still a blast to make them. I love our little Halloween tradition we've started.

After carving our pumpkins we handed out some candy to a few trick or treaters (we didn't have too many come to our house this year) and watched a scary movie called, The Possession. A perfect ending to Halloween night I'd say.

I hope you all had a spooktacular Hallow's Eve!
Davis' pumpkin is on the left, mine is on the right. Who's is better? ;)
