SISTER LOUISA MAE JARMAN

Today my dear friend Louisa left for her mission to Colorado Springs, Colorado!

Louisa and I met in the ninth grade when she moved to my jr. high. I am lucky I became friends with her, because she is someone who will be apart of my life forever. We've had some of the craziest times together. Memories that I will never forget. It doesn't matter how long we are apart from each other, the second we begin talking it's like the time apart never happened. She's always been there for me and gives me the best advice for any situation. She is one of the least judgmental people I've ever met. No matter what is going on in my life, I know I can talk to her and there will be zero judgement towards me. I can honestly say that Louisa and I have never gotten in a fight that has hurt our friendship. She is one of the greatest friends I've ever had.

Here are pictures from Lou's farewell.
& here are some pictures from Monday night when I had to say goodbye to my dear friend for 18 months.

Good luck to you Lou. I love you and can't wait to write you while you're gone!

UTAH UTES

Last Saturday was the Holy War, aka the Utah Utes vs the BYU Cougars. Davis and I had some friends over to watch the game and sure had a fun time! Luckily, our favorite team won and we got to celebrate the victory! Go UTAH!

CHANGE

shirt: style lately// maxi skirt: downeast

Yup, that's right. This girl got a hair cut! I cut off what seems to me a lot of hair. I'm still not used to it, but I am loving the change. My hair looks and feels much healthier. Change can be such a good thing.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARY

Happy Birthday to my Dad's BEAUTIFUL girlfriend Mary! I am so happy that my dad found a woman as incredible as her. She is simply amazing and can literally do anything she sets her mind to. From nursing to yoga to horseback riding, she can do it all.

I hope you have an amazing birthday Mary! So happy that my dad could be home to celebrate with you! Thank you for being a part of his crazy life and for keeping him smiling and happy.

MY HEART JUST MELTED

Davis' Aunt recently gave birth to one of the cutest little boys I have ever laid my eyes on. His name is Alec! Alec's family lives in California so I was so happy that I was able to meet him while they were visiting Utah for Swiss Days a couple weekends ago. Davis is the cutest with little kids and while I wasn't there, D's little sister Lauren captured this moment....

This picture makes my heart MELT. Isn't this one of the cutest things you've ever seen?? It makes me smile when I see Davis with kids or even animals. He is so loving and nice.
Anyways, I just had to share since I thought this was the cutest thing on the planet.
Happy Tuesday!

AS OF LATELY

Where to begin... Saturday Davis got taken to the BYU game by our next door neighbor Kade, so I stayed at home and watched the game. I actually watched the game and it was actually a lot of fun! I can't wait to go to the BYU vs Utah game next weekend with the boys. Now, Saturday was the day of the crazzzzzy storm so the game got delayed two hours, but once the storm calmed down everyone was finally able to watch it. Davis got completely soaked, but he said he had a great time. Since I was watching the game from home, during half time I went for a run. It was beautiful outside and the weather was perfect for running. The park next to our house was turned into a pond for the night because of the insane amount of rain. There were people swimming, tubing, and canoeing in the new pond. After my run, my mom and I went to Roll Up Crepes in Orem. If you haven't been, run don't walk! We shared a dinner crepe and each got our own dessert ones, boy was it good.

Last Monday, Davis and Grandpa Elison went golfing here at Sleepy Ridge so I was there to greet them at hole ten. Davis' grandpa is seriously the sweetest man around and wanted to take a picture with me. (don't mind my pale skin and no make up.) Davis did an awesome job and played one of the best rounds of golf he's ever played.

Life right now is divine. I've been teaching a lot at Dance Showcase and (almost) loving every minute of it. It is so much fun to be in charge of a class and to be able to help these girls grow as dancers. For the most part, they are a fun bunch to teach. I've been having fun hanging out, watching Davis play basketball and cuddling with my boo thang while watching Breaking Bad.
Time next time, XOXOXO.

SO HAPPY

Just wanted to do a quick blog post to fill you in on my progress. I'm feeling extremely happy with myself and the choice I've made to start running and working out daily again. This morning I was going to go running before I went up to SLC with Davis' family for lunch, but I put it off and was going to go at night. Around 8:30 pm when I was planning on going, it started pouring... I was going to put it off again until tomorrow morning, but decided to get off my butt and do something! At 11:00 pm, when it stopped raining, I went out and ran! I'm so happy I did because I beat my second mile time! Lately I've been running 2 or so miles everyday. I'm trying to gain some strength and endurance. The fastest I've ran a mile is 10 minutes 14 seconds. The second mile always takes longer and before tonight my record for my second mile was 11 minutes 10 seconds. Tonight, I ran my first mile in 10 minutes 14 seconds (exactly the same as my fastest mile) and my second in 10 minutes 20 seconds!!! I took 50 seconds off my second mile time! I'm making so much progress and I am feeling so proud of myself. I also did sit-ups, crutches, plank, and push ups when I got back from my run. Some of you may think this is nothing, but for me this is huge progress! Tomorrow is weigh in day so hopefully this hard work is paying off. I'm staying motivated and positive and I can't wait to see results!

If you want to follow my progress daily you can!!

SWISS DAYS

This Labor Day weekend I was lucky enough to spend time with the Elison/Johnson family at Swiss Days in Midway! We had a lot of fun spending time with the family at the condo and walking around at Swiss Days. We were able to watch some fun entertainment including the Swiss Bells and the Swiss Choir, which Davis' grandma is apart of. We ate a lot of yummy food including: ham 'n' swiss sandwiches, caramel apples, lemon treats, and swiss tacos. We swam at the pool and had an extremely fun time together. All of Davis' family was here, including Davis' parents and younger sister who flew in from Washington. It was a real treat, but I'm glad that I have Davis back at home with me. I can't wait until Swiss Days next year! I love Davis' family and I feel so lucky that I have had the opportunity to get to know them all. They are such an amazing and hilarious bunch to hang out around.

We are sad to see Davis' brother, Braden go. He flew back to Washington with Davis' parents because he is moving there! :(  We'll definitely miss him and hanging out at his place on the weekends, but he is onto bigger and better things! Good luck Braden!!

KNEADERS

Sorry for leaving my blog hanging this past week. This weekend was busy and spent with Davis' family in Midway for Swiss Days, but I'll post about that later. For now, I'll post about Friday morning with my sistah! I had been craving Kneaders and luckily I have a sister who was willing to go with me in between her classes at school. It was soooo yummy! That same day (and the day before) I managed to get my car fixed!! YAY! My muffler was broken and so my car literally sounded like a four wheeler. My sound system was broken too and I had to have a button replaced so I could play music through the aux cord. I have put both of those things off for months so it feels so nice to finally have them both fixed. SUCCESS!

After tomorrow things will be slowing down again so I will be posting about my amazing weekend in Midway. Until next time.
